WHY USE SALUTEM AND WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR EMPLOYERS
We were inspected by Ofsted in December 2022 and rated good in all areas. Particular mention was made of our successful link between on- and off-the-job learning. “They work closely with employers to identify and agree the skills that apprentices need to practise in the workplace. For example, apprentices learn basic skills in class. They then perfect these skills while in the workplace. As a result, apprentices quickly become skilled in their job roles.”
If you just want to send an apprentice to us to tick a box to say that you are training apprentices then we are NOT the provider for you.
Before we take on a new employer we like to meet face to face with you to ensure that you fully understand the commitment required to train an apprentice on site. We will review our curriculum and give you the opportunity to discuss any changes or additions you might require fitting with your business needs.
You will be expected to attend our training centre for reviews with the tutor and your apprentices every 12 weeks and share how they are doing on site to ensure that what we are teaching is having an effect.

Nothing is too much trouble, I feel they go above and beyond to ensure that apprentices complete the course and are prepared for life on site”
WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY
“I study at Salutem College, and it has been a great experience so far. One of the main ways the college is helping me is by supporting me in working toward a groundwork qualification, which is important for building a strong future in the construction sector. The college gives me hands-on, practical training in groundwork tasks like slabbing, pipe laying, and using tools safely. This helps me learn real skills I can use on-site. The teachers are supportive and understanding, which makes learning easier and more enjoyable. In particular, English has been a good subject to learn because of the way it is taught. The teacher makes the lessons clear and engaging, helping me improve my communication and confidence.”
I enjoyed my time at Salutem as an apprentice bricklayer. At Salutem I have been provided with the best possible environment to learn. Each member of staff has significantly helped me become the best version of myself both academically and mentally. I really enjoyed meeting all of the other apprentices that joined at the same time as me and after because I have made some really good friends along the way. If anyone was to ask me, I would highly recommend Salutem as the environment and staff have helped me significantly.
I have really enjoyed my time learning at Salutem, since I started in September 2025. I have found that all of the staff have been very helpful in every aspect of the course, that want every learner to succeed in their career. I enjoyed the social aspect of the course as I made plenty of friends that I will be talking to for a long time after we have finished the course. My favorite part of the course were the educational visits to different industry professionals showing that we were not just being taught to pass the course but were being shown many different aspects of the construction industry. I have in the past and will carry on recommending Salutem to anyone who wants to get into the construction industry.
